We are still surfing your internet and we are finding things that our culture would never understand. With this first video, we were wondering what is going on on Earth. In our culture we, the IF-Eaters, have all the same housing systems and needneno income (there is no low-income). We do not have suburbs or homeless IF-Eaters because we have no poverty. And having no poverty means that we do not have crimes (crime rate is zero), or juvenile delinquency (there is no delinquency at all), gangs or this thing on the video called slum.
We do not have poverty, so we do not have rich IF-Eaters. We live all together and have no residential areas nor slums, nor suburbs. We love green, so we have lots of green spaces (you would say they are green, but we see them as blue anyway) and we destroyed all our cars, because they polluted our planet. You would not understand what it is to walk the streets and see no traffic jams, no commuting to work, no litter...
We think you might like our planet, but, what do you think about yours?? Is everything fair? Does everyone have the same opportunities?

I think that countries that are composed or have some slums would have to worry more about these areas that are more criminal and dangerous. Since they have nothing to eat because they have no money then they steal to survive.
ReplyDeleteThese countries could revitalize that area and build companies or leisure centers, so that people could work and enjoy their life on earth that have been born without worries. They could also motivate them by giving them money if they collected and cleaned the streets leaving them clean and healthy, on the other hand to convince them to plant plants to have a more beautiful and attractive landscape and above all more hygienic and healthy.
The most favored people, if they helped the slum people a bit more or who have many economic or transportation problems would be of great help, for example: sharing cars, water, cheap and healthy food, and above all living in peace and tranquility. Finally, schools or areas were built where normal people and those who live in slums get together as close as possible to everyone.
My name is Lucia Balofer, I’m going to talk about some issues about our planet. Fist of all, in our planet there is no equality, for example: regarding education there are two types of children, those who can afford going to a school, which is only 10 minutes far from their house, and those who can’t go, because they have to walk more than 20 km to get there, and also their parents need them to work. Another problem is water: I think this is essential for everyone and it is unfair that poor children from the third world are drinking water from the ground, not healthy. Another issue: we all have prejudices about foreign people or poor people who looks strange, we judge them instead of understand their situation. Moreover, in my country, recently, there are lots of criminal movement and this is the result of a unhealthy society. So, as you can see, our planet is not in his best moment. I think I would like to live in a planet like yours.
ReplyDeleteFor me, slums are bad because they already have many diseases and are very poorly equipped for daily needs. My proposal for the If-eaters is to build a large building that has water fountains and washing machines inside, but to live there there is a very cheap payment and the rest is paid through community work.
ReplyDeleteI would propose to the government to help a little so that these people can have a nearby school and a cheap supermarket so that they can at least feed themselves, under the same conditions as the community building.

Slums are one of the big problems of our world, and they show you a clear vision of poverty. There are two big types of people, the rich and the poor. That’s all. The rich are happy with what they have and they don’t want to change anything, and the poor are very poor so they haven’t got any importance or power to twist this situation. But from my point of view, the really problem is that despite some good people of the rich want to change things, the small group of people that command don’t want to, and if they don’t want to, the rest “don’t want to”.
ReplyDeleteI like to know about big problems related with poverty and opportunities of the poor, or things like that. However, I feel very useless because I’m only a girl of 15 years old from the “rich group” that have lots of limitations to change things.
The que evidence is that everyone says that we are equals in spite of our religion, culture or race, but that’s not true! The theory is very good but, if I get sick in about 15 minutes my parents can take me to the hospital, but if a girl like me gets sick in a suburb of India, we know that the situation will be very different.

ReplyDeleteI think my planet is very precious because it has a lot of good things like nature or animals but we are hurting it with pollution, climate change, corruption, poverty… I´m going to talk about what produce those things. First of all, pollution and climate change are hurting the animals and the nature and we have to stop it changing some living habits to improve this like using electricty cars or take care about water or something like this. The second, corruption, are hurting the society and it produces poverty which thing is bad for us, this things has as a result the inequality between people and poor persons have to live in bad places like slums where there is danger and is very pollution and those persons haven´t the same opportunities like we. However, I think that our planet is a good place to live but we have to change our lifestyle to improve it.
Hi I´m Bea a student of secundary, I think that our planet needs a big change. The Earth has got a lot of beautiful natural places like mountains, waterfalls or green places that they are disappearing a cause of the accion of the humans. We must stop it! If one chid like me realizes of that why dirigents don´t do anythink to stop it? I think that a lot of dirigents don´t care that, they think in win money. However, there are people who is respectuous with the environment. But also some humans have built spectacular builds like “Sagrada Familia”.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a politic dirigent I would try to eliminate social differences. There are a lot of people who live in slums and haven´t got anythink to eat. There are childs that must go by foot hundreds of kilometers to go at school. Conversely in some Europeans countries, that doesn´t happen and there are rich people who live in big houses. A lot of these people win money by the poor people´s work. We need to change that!
Some people die a cause of malnutrition or the pollution that we cause, these two problems are related. If we can change one, we can change the other.
If- Eaters, in the Earth there are good things too. And if you help us, we can eliminate bad things!

Secondly the think that there are so countries or cities with many buildings that there aren't good conditions to live.
The climate and the pollution are the worst think at all in my opinion for solved this we can use more public transport or don't send many nocive gases to the athmophere
The corruption is also other problem that exists in our world many mens that win a lot of money will put in in fiscal paradises so to stop it we don't hve to trust in them because that will be a bad idea
I think that in my country are many places that are so beautiful for example

And if we don't do nothing the bad things will superate the good things

Our planet has given us what we need to live as a species, but we can not avoid transforming these natural resources in an excessive way, which leads to many problems for our survival:
Nowadays, 2/3 of the ecosystems on which life depends on Earth are overexploited or used unsustainably, which can cause serious problems for humanity in the next generations.

The IF-Eaters
The first video shows us two different ways of life for children in the world. In developed countries the life is better and easier, because people of these countries have got everything that they need to live. In the video we can see, a girl who lives in a big and comfortable house, in USA. This girl goes to the school every day by car, in a few minutes. Also, in the video we see a boy who lives in a third world country, Guatemala, who walks everyday about two hours to go to school, because his family hasn´t got any car and he lives very far of the school. This video teaches us comparing two very different ways of lives in the world.
ReplyDeleteIn the second video, we can see in one side a boy, who wakes up in his bed and has breakfast in his comfortable home. He catches a bottle of mineral water at home, which is in perfect conditions. He catches his bag and his bicycle. In the other side, we see a young girl, who wakes up in a slum. She doesn´t wear shoes, but she goes to the school by bicycle too. She always has got a bottle of water from a pond (which is dirty). At the end of the video, we see the boy traveling, to the girl´s city, only for giving his clean water to the girl. This video is very beautiful because teaches us how should be all people in the world.
My conclusion about both videos is the inequality, because in the world there are a lot of people, who live in bad conditions, and they haven´t got the same opportunities as us. They haven´t got our instruments or technology. We have to try change the world, because in this moment the world isn´t very fair.
What I would supposedly do to change this 'society' if you can call it that ... I would personally focus on the marginalized neighborhoods since these usually do not have enough resources to live a healthy and happy life, every day children die malnourished, either by a poor diet, by not eating or drinking water in poor conditions.With my age I can not do anything significant, but what I think we have to do is to make people aware that we should not leave out the people who need us the most, such as marginal people, although there are people that is aware and is trying to help, the problem really is that the percentage of people who are not willing to help or who are not truly aware is much greater than the people who do know what really happens.On the other hand is the issue of pollution we pollute a lot by not giving a better use to public transport how is the bus, the trams etc ... and also bicycles, there is also the accumulation of gases in the atmosphere what is super bad for us and for our planet.

On my planet there are many things that I don´t like, and obviously not everyone has the same opportunities. It is clear that the country and family where you are born determines the type of education, health and living conditions that you can have. As in the video you can see in the less developed countries children have worse conditions and life than us, and that is something that sometimes we don´t appreciate and that many people would give anything to have our living conditions, education and health. Since there are many children who have to work at six years and force them to leave school, that if they went, in addition the amount of money they earn for doing such difficult jobs is minimal. Of course I don´t see this situation as fair, I think everyone should have the option to choose what they want to become, without having to worry about other things. Nor do I see fair that there are people who must have more than one job to support their family and also that at work they don´t have healthy conditions and their salaries aren´t adequate to the work or amount of hours they perform. Personally, I think that my planet is very unfair, but we also don´t know how to change it, nor are there enough people interested in solving this type of problems in the lives of others.

If we focus on nature i think there should be no change , only one , we should take Care of the environment as it a affects us well as animal species and some day we en dúo destroying the planet, on the other hand i would like to highlight the inequalities that we can find among the people , especially it is económico inequalities that give way to Thalía not al the people have the same oportunities that others, an exemple is the children whose parents cannot afford a school and do not receive studies which Makes That in the future have very few opportunities to work , Also another type of inequality , which is very sad to continue to be it is inequalties to be of different race , there are still many people who discrimina and believe superior to other people by their type of culture , race and already to finish also what would change is that the wars in the world ene. ReplyDeleteIn my opinion what I would do to change society would be for wealthy people to live a week or so as if they were poor and in low neighborhoods and poor people as rich people to realize how difficult life is for the poor and all they have to do to earn the little money they get by working long hours.I would also raise money selling the things that I do not use or something like that to give the money obtained to the most needy families who do not have enough to eat since everyone should have enough money to go to school, to be able to eat...I could also do a project that consisted of a number of people living in a room for a certain period of time without telling them why they are living there and that there were no sweepers or anything similar to make them aware of everything contaminates human.

We have nature and animals and a lot of iconic places that I love. But, also we have a lot of bad things, like the inequality between the people. There are many opressed collective, such as women or black race... And also in the Earth there is poverty and some people live in slums with bad life condicions. The problem is that most of rich people who could help don't do that because they don't have empathy. And also a very big problem in the Earth is the pollution, we don't care about our planer and in the end we will destroy it. I think all of us should help to improve our planet
ReplyDeleteI think the world has many things to improve: such as slums, places where there is hunger, poor hygiene and diseases. As are children who have to walk several kilometers to go to collect several liters of water that may have many bacteria , and in turn others that open a tap have the drinking water they want.
ReplyDeleteI think that in order to improve these things, these areas(slums) could be reconstructed so that there is a better quality of life. Also, water purification machines could be built. As we all know, in the world there are people richer than others, it would be good for people with more economic resources will help the poorest people to be able to equalize situations a little more.
I think that even though all people are not born with the same opportunities, because of the conditions of the place where they are born, culture, etc, it should not be like that, I think that everyone should have a base on which to support.

Hello my name is Claudia and from my point of view there are thins that could be changed for exemple in the por countries they have a poor health service and poor nutrition, to day day many people die from these problems. Another example is the education as in the video that a girl born in a rich country she takes fifteen minutes in arrive to school and they take her by car, while another girl born in a poor country she takes two hours in arrive to the school walking and going for dangerous land.

We lived in an injust and greedy world but however there are also good people trying to help these people.
Hi, I'm Eva and I have come up with some ideas that could change the lives of many children who nowadays live in poor countries and are in poor social conditions.
ReplyDeleteFirst, provide them with drinking water. We all have a tap at home that you open it and water comes out. If so simple, because these children can not have the pleasure of drinking a glass of fresh water?
Second, give them medical attention. If I now have a cold, my parents take me in 10 minutes to the doctor and immediately I recover, but if a child of these has a cold, can not do anything to cure it and this cold can go to more.
And last but not least, give them a good education and a clean and comfortable place where they can study and live.We are fortunate to have been born in an untouched country and we can afford a good education and a good house where we can sleep comfortably, but you put yourself in the situation of these children who sleep on the floor and to go to school they have to walk hours and hours to teach.
If this changes, the lives of these children would be happier and simpler.

Hi, my name is Alexia and I going to talk about what thing we could change to improve our planet. I know that I was very lucky when I born in a “rich family” but some people don’t appreciate it. We have a big variety of plants and animals but we don’t take care of them because we use to use polluting materials or objects like cars, machines, fuel... But it isn’t the worst points because every day we can go to school on foot and it only takes 3 min. However, in others countries there are kids who don’t have a nearby school and they must walk for hours through difficult roads.
ReplyDeleteAnother difference is the food because we can go to the supermarket and buy somethings but they are very poor and if they need something they will steal it. The water is important too because we can go to the kitchen and open the tap to drink but they don’t have drinking water and have to go to the common wells. Both problems affect health and it’s a pity that many people die everyday from deseases that would be cured quickly here.
From my point of view everyone have to be informed of the things that happens and try to help because without us support they can do anything.
Hello to If-Eaters and other aliens who can be reading this. Someone told me that you want to know more about our planet, that is why I am going to tell you my opinion about Earth. Earth is a very beautiful planet with a lot of nice people on it, but, sadly, there are not just beautiful places and nice people, there are also a lot of stupid or intolerant people, animal cruelty and a lot of pollution and other bad things in our planet. There are a lot of solutions to our problems but people refuse to see them because they refuse to see the problems. If you can help them to see these things we would thank you a lot. In Earth we also can find diversity of opinions and races that usually respect each other, we also have a lot of art, music... I hope that you all enjoy our planet and try to apreciate the good things that we have and the good people there are here. There is a lot of inequality in our world, which is not fair. Fixing it is not so easy, since it happens in most places. To solve it, I think we should be fair; that for all would be the same, that is to say, boys and girls in Africa and the United States should have the same opportunities, whether in studies, home, food ... We are all the same even if we have our differences in sex, culture , race ...
ReplyDeleteAnother option would be that there are people who do not want immigrants to come to their country, which on the one hand is good, since they manage to have a better life, but on the other hand, the country will reach a point where we will not all fall.
A solution would be, since they flee their countries because of wars, or do not have enough resources to live, the countries with more resources could help them and they do not have to leave their country, or in the case of wars, try to end them .
I think there should be more people to help and go to other places to help, be it in education, in health ...
